Vikings Draft Safety Tyrell Johnson in 2nd Round It was bound to be a quiet day for the Vikings after they traded their first-round pick to the Chiefs as part of the Jared Allen deal. They did end up making a tiny bit of noise though, by making a deal with the Eagles to trade up a few slots in the second round. I am a news junkie and admittedly if I had cable plus the extra TV I would probably have either CNN or CBC Newsworld on the whole time I’m in my room I jokingly call my office. Today, Moody's gave its highest rating to Berkshire Hathaway Assurance Corporation. In a news release (free registration required), Moody's says, "BHAC's rating reflects its strong capital position and its high-quality insured portfolio of public finance credits, as well as the guaranty from (Berkshire subsidiary) Columbia (Insurance Company)

There has been a huge increase in the number of earthquakes here in Northern Nevada. Click here for a local news article on the topic - we had a magnitude 4.7 last night at 11:40 p.m., followed by another 50 aftershocks. I'm south enough of Reno to not feel most of them. I have one overly sensitive dog that doesn't like the shaking and I'm quite certain the horses know as well. They tend to stay out in the open more. I just took these photos of Rocky today.
