The military has granted questionable waivers to convicted felons, allowing them to serve in the armed forces, according to House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, California Democrat. Waxman today wrote a letter to David Chu, an under secretary at the Department of Defense, demanding to know why these waivers had been granted to felons convicted of sexual assault and terrorist threats.
